Xidipity WordPress Theme Knowledge Base Theme Installation

The Xidipity theme is hosted on GitHub. GitHub is a code hosting platform for version control and collaboration. It allows development teams to work together on projects from anywhere. This popular development tool currently hosts over 100 million projects.


It is very important to note Xidipity must be configured even if switching from another theme. By default, WordPress installs the block editor and offers the classic editor as a plugin. Although the block editor can be used, many of the theme’s features will be unavailable.



Xidipity depends on the installation of the classic editor plugin from WordPress.


  1. Download the current release from GitHub
  2. In the WordPress admin panel, go to Appearance (​​) -> Themes
  3. Click ‘Add New’
  4. Click ‘Upload Theme’
  5. Click ‘Choose File’
  6. Select the Xidipity theme download zip file
  7. Click ‘Install Now’
  8. Upon completion, click ‘activate’ to use
  9. Click visit site


  1. In the WordPress admin panel, go to Plugins (​​) and click ‘Add New’
  2. Search for ‘Classic Editor‘ – install & activate
  3. In the WordPress admin panel, go to Settings (​​) -> Writing
  4. Set the default editor for all users to ‘classic editor’
  5. Click ‘Save Changes’
  6. Configure other WordPress settings as desired
  7. Create Something Great 🙂



It is recommended the option “Allow users to switch editors” be set to no.
